4.50 CT Rwandan Amethyst

$270.00

Amethyst has long been a gemstone of royalty and was as expensive as ruby and emerald until the 19th Century, when Brazil's large deposits were discovered.  Today, the most sought after amethysts are those stones that contain a uniformly deep color of purple with flashes of pink to violet (aka Siberian or deep amethyst).

This lovely 4.50 ct violet-purple amethyst from Rwanda has a deep saturation, but is not overly dark.  It displays a rich purple-violet-blue tone.  Only a few minor inclusions near the edge that are not noticeable with the unaided eye.

Origin: Rwanda

Weight: 4.50 ct

Dimensions (mm): 17.2 x 8.6
